Why Is a Transaction Showing the Wrong Amount?

If a transaction amount looks incorrect, it’s usually due to one of these reasons:

  • Bank Pending Amounts: Sometimes banks show a pending amount that differs from the final posted amount. Tabby syncs the posted amount, so once the transaction fully clears, the correct amount should appear.
  • Refunds or Adjustments: If a merchant issued a refund or adjustment, you may see two separate transactions—the original and the refund—rather than a corrected amount.
  • Currency Conversion: For international transactions, the final amount may differ slightly from what you expected due to exchange rates and foreign transaction fees.

How to Fix It:

If the amount is genuinely wrong and not a bank-side issue, you can manually edit the transaction amount by clicking on it and selecting “Edit.” Contact support if the issue persists or seems like a syncing error.
