How Tabby Keeps Your Data Secure #
We take security seriously. Here’s how Tabby protects your financial information.
Bank-Level Encryption #
All data is encrypted using 256-bit encryption—the same standard used by major banks. Your data is encrypted both in transit (when being sent) and at rest (when stored).
Plaid for Bank Connections #
We use Plaid to connect to your bank accounts. Plaid is a trusted, secure service used by thousands of financial apps including Venmo, Robinhood, and Coinbase. Tabby never sees or stores your bank login credentials—they go directly to Plaid.
Read-Only Access #
Tabby has read-only access to your bank accounts. We can view transactions, but we cannot move money, make payments, or modify your accounts in any way.
Secure Infrastructure #
Tabby is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which provides enterprise-grade security and reliability. We use Stripe for payment processing, ensuring your billing information is handled securely.
Who Can Access Your Data? #
Only you and any team members you explicitly add can access your financial data. Tabby employees cannot see your bank credentials or access your accounts without your permission.
Data Retention & Deletion Policy #
You’re in control of your data. Here’s how Tabby handles data retention and deletion.
How Long We Keep Your Data #
We retain your data as long as your account is active. This includes your transaction history, receipts, reports, and any other information stored in Tabby.
Requesting Data Deletion #
You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support. Once we process your request, your financial data will be permanently removed from our systems. Note that some data may be retained for legal or regulatory compliance purposes.
Exporting Your Data #
Before deleting your account, you can export all your data (transactions, reports, receipts) in CSV or PDF format for your records.
GDPR & CCPA Compliance #
Tabby is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with data protection regulations.
GDPR Compliance #
For users in the European Union, Tabby complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You can exercise these rights at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.
CCPA Compliance #
For California residents, Tabby complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of personal information. Tabby does not sell your personal information.
