Can I Change the Email Address on My Account? #

Yes, you can change your account email anytime. Steps: Go to Settings > Account, Click “Change Email Address”, Enter new email and confirm password, Verify new email via confirmation link sent to new address. Important notes: Your login email changes to the new address, All notifications and receipts go to new email, Team member invitations remain tied to original email unless reissued, Banking connections unaffected (they use Plaid authentication, not email). Security: We send confirmation to both old and new email addresses for security. If you didn’t request this change, contact support immediately. Changing email does not affect: Your subscription, billing, or payment method, Historical data, reports, or transactions, Connected bank accounts.

How Do I Change My Password? #

Change password from Settings or use “Forgot Password” at login. Steps: Logged in: Go to Settings > Security > Change Password, Enter current password, Enter new password (min 8 characters, mix of letters/numbers/symbols), Confirm new password. Forgot password: Click “Forgot Password” on login page, Enter your email address, Check email for reset link, Create new password. Password requirements: Minimum 8 characters, Must include uppercase, lowercase, and number, Cannot reuse last 5 passwords, Avoid common passwords (password123, etc.). Can I Transfer Ownership of My Tabby Account? #

Yes, you can transfer account ownership to another person (useful for business ownership changes). When to transfer ownership: Selling your business to new owner, Changing business partners or co-founders, Transitioning bookkeeping to employee or accountant, Business entity restructuring. How to transfer: Contact Tabby support with request, Verify your identity (email, phone, account details), Provide new owner’s email address and relationship to business, New owner creates account and verifies identity, We transfer all data, connections, and subscription. What transfers: All transaction history and data, Bank connections (may need re-authentication), Team member access and roles, Active subscription and billing. What doesn’t transfer: Your personal login credentials (new owner creates their own), Historical invoices and receipts sent to old email. Legal note: Ensure business ownership transfer is legally finalized before transferring Tabby account. We may require documentation for verification.

What If I Forgot My Password and Can’t Access My Email? #

If you can’t access both your Tabby account and the email address on file, you’ll need to verify your identity with support. Steps: Contact support@tabbyai.com from any email address, Include: Business name, Phone number on account (if provided), Last 4 digits of payment method, Approximate date of last login, Brief explanation of situation. Verification process: Support team will ask security questions to verify identity, May require photo ID or business documentation, Process takes 24-48 hours for security reasons. Once verified, we can: Send password reset to alternative email you control, Or update email address on file, Or merge account with new account you’ve created. Prevention: Keep email address current in Settings > Account, Add recovery phone number for future access issues, Export data periodically as backup.
